Accused baby killer to enter guilty plea

A Calgary woman accused in the death of her baby son will plead guilty, and not go to trial.

22-year-old Shelby Herchak is charged with second degree murder in the death of 26-day-old Daniel.

However, the Calgary Sun reports, it’s not clear what charge Herchak will enter a guilty plea for, it could be a lesser offence like manslaughter or infanticide.

If she pleads guilty to murder, she could spend life in prison.
