Mount Royal University will be speaking about what’s next for its aviation program, following the deaths of two flight instructors who were killed in a plane crash.
On Monday, the Transportation Safety Board is expected to provide an update on its investigation of the February 13 incident, which claimed the life of 35-year-old Jeff Bird and 64-year-old Reyn Johnson.
University officials are planning to speak after that update, to discuss the next steps of the aviation program, which has 66 students.
Mount Royal says it continues to mourn the loss of the two respected pilots.
This week, students will be back to the MRU hanger and instructors will resume flights.
