CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Alberta Health Services (AHS) has confirmed 19 more cases of COVID-19 at the Calgary Correctional Centre.
There are now 87 cases of COVID-19 within the centre, 70 being inmates and 17 JSG staff members.

Additionally, five inmates who had previously tested positive and served their sentence have been released and are now isolating at home.
“The increase in inmate case numbers stems primarily from re-swabbing of previously negative inmates on Oct. 27 as ordered by the Medical Officer of Health,” AHS said in a statement.
All cases have reported only mild symptoms of the virus, if any.
