Calgary police are making a grim request, as they need help identifying a person who was found dead earlier this year.
Back on Aug. 22, officers were called to the area of 50 Avenue S.E., and Ogden Road S.E. for a report that a body was found under an overpass.
Investigators have determined the person, believed to be a man, died of natural causes but they have not confirmed an identity.
The remains had significantly decomposed and officers did not find any I.D.
Based on what they found at the scene, it’s believed the man was homeless.
Police are now releasing pictures of three rings that the man had been wearing in hopes someone might recognize them.

The first ring is oval-shaped with a large oval turquoise stone. The second is rectangular-shaped with three small diamonds inlaid on the face. The third is a dark braided band with a small white stone in the center.
“We know that there may be family and friends of this man who have been trying to find him,” said Staff Sergeant Martin Schiavetta in a news release.
“The rings this man was found with are extremely distinct, and it’s likely there is someone out there who will recall seeing them and can help us find closure to this case.”
Anyone whe recognizes the rings or who might know the identity of the man is asked to call police.
