The delays meant shuttle buses were running between Lions Park Station and Sunnyside Station for the majority of the day.
Monday’s delays came after another issue on the CTrain Sunday evening. Few details have been provided by the transit authority, which referred to the troubles once again as a “mechanical issue.”
Some reports have suggested that the issue was caused by a power line that was down. Calgary Transit has not confirmed these reports, though images taken Monday morning show crews working to restore power to a section of the track.
Meanwhile, the Blue Line also saw some delays to start the week due to an emergency on board a train.
