Calgary police have found the vehicle that was involved in the hit-and-run of a 17-year-old teen in mid-October.
Officers say the vehicle is a 2014-2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the driver drove away before they arrived.
Cochrane RCMP and a witness helped Calgary police find the vehicle, which led to its seizure.
Police say it started when a 17-year-old teen crossed 16 Avenue NW and 46 Street in the northwest community of Montgomery at around 7 p.m. on Oct. 17.
After using a crosswalk signal and proceeding to cross the road, investigators say he was struck by a “light-coloured SUV,” and then fled the scene.
