Calgary Deerfoot crash sends one to hospital
A serious crash on Deerfoot Trail sent one person to hospital in critical condition Friday afternoon.
Calgary police responded to the collision at Douglasdale Blvd and 24 Street SE at around 3 p.m.
EMS says that one person was sent to hospital in life-threatening condition.

Police say the cause is still under investigation.
There is no further word on the condition of the individual.
At the time, drivers headed in that direction were detoured off Deerfoot Trail onto Anderson Road and Bow Bottom Trail.
SB Deerfoot Trail is CLOSED.

The crash also blocked a northbound lane and traffic was busy from Barlow Trail, but the road opened up at around 5 p.m. in that direction.
