Calgary CTrain service now working

The Calgary CTrain service is back to normal operations, after being disrupted Wednesday afternoon due to a technical issue.

Calgary’s Red Line CTrain service was mostly impacted from City Hall to Anderson station, but at one point, disruptions were reported from the Bridlewood — Somerset station all the way to the Tuscany station.

Calgary Transit said shuttle buses were brought in, including along MacLeod Trail for the Erlton and 39 Avenue station.

A Calgarian taking the CTrain took to Twitter to explain what happened.

“We were stuck in the tunnel between City Hall and Victoria Park. We were removed by opening the doors manually and jumping off. And then to wait for buses with hundreds of other riders,” reads the tweet.
