Investigators say on Thursday, Sept. 21 around 12:30 p.m., a woman exited a store after shopping at the Richmond Square shopping centre, when an unknown man came up to her and requested a photo.

The victim said yes, according to police, and the man then touched her in a sexual manner without her consent.

She was able to go into a nearby store and ask for help.

On Friday, police said 37-year-old Sandeep Kataria had been charged with one count of sexual assault.

His next court appearance is Monday, Dec. 18.
