One charged after throwing cabinet out of window in downtown Calgary

A frightening scene unfolded in downtown Calgary on Friday afternoon after a piece of furniture was thrown out of an apartment window.

People along Calgary’s 7 Avenue and 7 Street downtown Friday were met with a scare after a piece of furniture flew out of an apartment building Friday

Police say at around 12:30 p.m., a large wooden cabinet was sent flying out of an apartment complex, falling from the ninth floor.

No one was hurt, but officers say after talking with a number of witnesses in the area that many were shaken.

A person was taken into custody and is facing one count of mischief.

Police have not released their name at this time.
