Serious crash closes Trans-Canada Highway near Field B.C.

Mounties in B.C. have closed a section of the Trans-Canada Highway near the Alberta border due to a serious crash.
Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision at Highway 1 and Emerald Lake Road, near Field, around 12:20 p.m.
STARS air ambulance was called to the scene. RCMP say multiple people have serious injuries.
Highway 1 is closed in both directions between Emerald Lake Road and the west boundary of Yoho National Park.
The roadway is expected to reopen by 8 p.m.
