Officials are investigating after a fatal workplace incident in Calgary’s northeast Sunday evening.

“It is always tragic when a worker dies on the job,” OHS said in a statement. “Our government’s goal is to have all workers return home safely after every workday.”

First responders arrived around 6:40 p.m. to a business on Aero Drive NE, according to investigators.

According to police, the family of the victim has yet to be contacted.

The province says the workplace is federally regulated and so the incident will be investigated by federal authorities.
