Airdrie RCMP charge one in summer shootings

Airdrie RCMP have laid charges in two shootings that happened this summer.
Police say on June 5, two vehicles were identified in a shooting in the Windsong neighbourhood. Then, on July 29, shots were fired at houses in the Luxstone neighbourhood.
Twenty-two-year-old Micah Pedersen was arrested Thursday and now faces several charges, including two counts of discharging a firearm while being reckless, two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, two counts of possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, and four counts of failure to comply with a release order.
Pederson was taken into custody and is set to appear in court on Dec. 17.
RCMP say the investigation continues and further charges could be laid.
