Calgary police respond to NE domestic incident

Calgary police responded to an incident in Mayland Heights Monday morning.
In a post to social media around 5:30 a.m., police said officers were on scene at McKinnon Drive NE for an ongoing incident.
Staff Sgt. John Guigon tells 660 NewsRadio just before 1:30 a.m., officers were called to a home in Mayland Heights, following reports of a domestic disturbance.
“When we got there, the female subject and her two daughters had exited the residence and were unharmed,” he explained. “We were given information that a person who had a no contact order with the domestic subject was still in the residence and refusing to come out.”
Police said there was there is no risk to public safety.
Those in the area would have noticed a heavy police presence, as officers negotiated with the male suspect to come out.
Investigators said at 10 a.m. the incident had concluded.
