1 facing murder charges in 2024 Brentwood home invasion: Calgary police

In January 2024, police responded to a home invasion in the 0 to 100 block of Braden Crescent finding two people injured and one man dead on arrival.

After a man was found dead in a northwest Brentwood home invasion nearly a year ago, Calgary police have charged a suspect with manslaughter.

Officers say they responded to a home invasion in the 0 to 100 block of Braden Crescent on Jan. 4, 2024, finding two people injured and one man, 53-year-old John Wayne Davis, dead on arrival.

It was the first homicide of 2024.

The over-year-long investigation led officers to arrest 44-year-old Jarvais L. Eisnor.

He faces six charges, and those are the following:

  • Manslaughter,
  • Unlawful confinement,
  • Robbery,
  • Break and enter, and
  • Two counts of aggravated assault in relation to the two who were found injured.

Police say Eisnor is expected to appear in court on Feb. 10.

Officers are still looking for more information as they believe there may have been others involved.

Meanwhile, police ask anyone with information about this incident to call them at 403-266-1234 or leave a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
