Damaged vehicles in High River possibly hate motivated: RCMP

Police in High River are searching for an individual they say is responsible for damaging two vehicles parked in front of homes with visible LGBTQ2+ support decals.

Mounties south of Calgary are looking for a suspect after a pair of vehicles had their windows damaged this week.

RCMP began investigating Thursday after getting reports of damaged vehicles in the area of 6 Avenue and 5 Street in the town of High River.

Police say video footage shows a suspect damage windows around 11:37 p.m. the night before.

Investigators believe the suspect may have targeted the vehicles because they were parked in front of homes with LGBTQ+ support symbols.

RCMP have released photos, describing a suspect wearing mostly dark clothing with a white hood.
