Southern Alberta man arrested again on child porn charges

A Southern Alberta man is facing child porn charges after an arrest by the province’s internet child exploitation unit.

Officers searched a home in the town of Blairmore in Crowsnest Pass last month after getting a tip from the RCMP about someone sharing child sexual exploitation materials on social media applications like Discord and Snapchat.

William McQueen, 36, is facing charges including possessing, accessing, and making available child pornography, as well as an offence for an improperly stored gun in the home.

The ICE unit says the same man was arrested for similar offences in 2019.

McQueen was released from custody with a number of court-imposed conditions he must follow.
