Calgary police warn of release for man convicted of kidnapping, sexual assault

A high risk offender is being released from prison, prompting a warning from Calgary police.

Police say Corey Manyshots, 36, has finished a federal sentence for kidnapping, sexual assault causing bodily harm, and uttering threats.

He will be living in Calgary.

Manyshots will be under court-ordered conditions, and will be required to wear an electronic monitoring device.

Police say he will also be monitored by the CPS High Risk Offender Program.

The Calgary Police Service says this information is being released as a matter of public interest, adding the decision was made after careful deliberation and consideration of all related issues.

Members of the public are advised to take suitable precautionary measures and not to take on any form of vigilante action.

Manyshots is 5’8″ tall and 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
