Police are searching for a suspect after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted on a CTrain last week.

Calgary police say an unknown man boarded a southbound Red Line CTrain at either Erlton/Stampede or 39 Avenue station around 4:30 p.m. on June 6.

The man allegedly sat next to a teenage girl and proceeded to touch her in a sexual manner without her consent.

The girl shouted to other passengers and the suspect got off the train at Heritage station, police say.

The suspect is described as 40 to 50 years old and around 5’8″ tall with short, salt-and-pepper facial hair. He was last seen carrying a black backpack and wearing dark-coloured sunglasses, a dark blue hoodie with the hood covering a light-coloured baseball cap, black pants and dark-coloured shoes.
