Suspicious downtown death under investigation: Calgary police

The circumstances around the suspicious death of a woman found in Calgary’s downtown on Saturday are under investigation.

Just before 7 p.m., Calgary police were called to the 1100 block of 12 Avenue SW for reports of a woman in medical distress.

When they arrived, they found her and she was then rushed to the hospital. However, she was declared dead upon arrival.

An autopsy is set for Tuesday.
