Man’s cause of death remains unknown following reported assault in NE Calgary

Police are trying to determine how a man died after a reported assault in northeast Calgary over the weekend, and are looking to speak with anyone who has information.

Police are still trying to determine how a man died after a reported assault in northeast Calgary over the weekend.

Calgary police say emergency crews were called to a home on Rundlehorn Drive NE near 22 Avenue NE for reports of an assault.

Officers arrived to find a man in medical distress. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy was completed on Wednesday, but police say the cause of death is still unknown.

The Homicide Unit continues to investigate.
