Calgary police say they were called to the Market Mall parking lot near Landmark Cinema in the city’s northwest around 5:15 p.m. for reports of two people shooting at each other.
Responding officers found one suspect at the scene and recovered a “CO2 powered air pistol” from them.
Witnesses described a suspect vehicle and licence plate to officers and they were able to track down a second suspect who was also taken into custody.
No injuries were reported.
Police are still trying to figure out what led to the incident. Charges for both teens are pending, but police say they are potentially facing weapons and assault related charges.
