Hit-and-run injures 3 in 5 vehicle Deerfoot pile-up: Calgary police

Calgary police say a hit-and-run on northeast Deerfoot on Tuesday led to a five-vehicle pile-up that injured three people.
According to police, crews responded to Deerfoot Trail and Memorial Drive NE at 11:45 p.m. on hit-and-run reports.
The driver responsible fled the scene on foot, but officers caught up with them shortly after.
Two victims and the driver were hurt in the crash and taken to the hospital, where they are expected to recover.
Deerfoot was reduced to a single lane overnight, but reopened just before 1 a.m.
