Woman in 50s seriously hurt after being struck by vehicle in NE Calgary

A woman has serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in northeast Calgary on Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of 68 Street and 8 Avenue NE around 2 p.m. for reports of a crash.

A woman in her 50s was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

Several lanes through the intersection have been closed, and police are urging drivers to expect delays and consider alternate routes.

The investigation is ongoing.
