Man in 20s dead after SE Calgary assault; police seek suspects

An update in Wednesday’s domestic assault case in Calgary, police now say the man injured in the attack has died.

A man in his 20s is dead and police are looking for suspects after a fight inside a southeast Calgary home earlier this week.

Emergency crews were called around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, to a home on Crestwood Road SE. in the community of Ogden.

When they arrived, they found a man suffering from life‑threatening injuries. He was rushed to hospital.

Police say the suspects fled before officers arrived.

In an update over the weekend, police now say the man has died from his injuries. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

Investigators believe the incident was domestic‑related and say there is no risk to the broader public. Efforts to find the suspects are ongoing.
