The granddaughter of a Calgary woman missing more than a week has taken efforts into her own hands, following her last known locations through east central Alberta and into Saskatchewan.
Zoe Cooper has been tracking 82-year-old Diane Cooper’s whereabouts using pings from an AirTag attached to her grandmother’s vehicle.
82-year-old Diane Cooper, who lives in Edgemont, was reported missing to police on April 7.
The last reported sighting of her is shortly before 11 p.m. on April 6, when she was captured driving her vehicle through Hoosier, Sask.

Before that, she fueled up at a gas station in Stettler and was seen in the Veteran area between Coronation and Consort on Highway 12.

Zoe has since attended these locations with no success.
She says her grandma has a mild form of dementia, and this behaviour is unusual for her.
“She usually just stays around Calgary, she’ll take the dog for a walk quite often,” Zoe said. “But, for the most part, she just stays within the city, so we didn’t expect her to drive to a rural area, she usually doesn’t do that.”
Cooper’s family is asking those living in rural Alberta and Saskatchewan to keep an out for her and call police or CrimeStoppers if they see anything.
“The whole family is very distressed,” Zoe told CityNews Calgary. “My sister has been on the phone with the RCMP for days on end. Every hour they call, they’ve been very involved, which is really helpful, but also very stressful.
“Each one of us is really, really struggling with this. We’re terrified for her.”

Cpl. Teri-Ann Bakker with Alberta RCMP says investigators are using all available resources to find Cooper, including air patrol.
“Because this is out of the norm for her, we are taking into consideration all the aspects that the family has shared with us in order to help locate Diane Cooper,” she said.
Cooper is believed to be with her dalmatian, Halo.
She is driving a grey Toyota C-HR- XLE with Alberta licence plate LVA978.
Cooper is 5’1″ tall and 100 pounds with a slim build, has blue eyes and white hair, and wears glasses.
Anyone with information about her location is asked to contact police in Consort at 403-577-3001 or tip anonymously through CrimeStoppers.
