Pause for Pets: Meet Truly, the ‘Chief Fun Officer’ ready for a forever home

Truly is a multi-tasking one-year-old German shepherd mix looking for a forever home, currently biding her time at the city’s animal shelter.
This work in progress is a wonderful, exuberant dog and this week’s pick for Pause for Pets.
Truly has been dubbed CFO, that’s Chief Fun Officer, and full-time best friend at her temporary shelter digs. But the position she’s held for several weeks now is getting old.
Janette Meyer, animal behaviour coordinator, says whoever gets this 28 kg dog will be lucky.
“She’s a super, happy, friendly girl and very wiggly. When she comes to greet anybody, her whole back is just wiggly,” she says.
In addition to her big, joyful personality, Truly also loves to show off her shepherd smarts.
“Working with treats or some other positive reinforcement, I feel she will be a very good and very quick learner,” Meyer says.
Truly’s roomie, Harlow, is also looking for adoption.

“She is a spayed six-year-old female, who is looking for a very special home,” Meyer explains. “Someone that can manage her weight and (offer) low impact exercise, but she is just lovely.”
