Female bystander shot outside downtown bar: Calgary police

Police are investigating after an innocent bystander was allegedly shot during a fight outside a downtown Calgary bar.
Calgary police say officers were called to the Red Room Lounge on 3 Street SE around 4:45 a.m. after reports of gunfire.
When police arrived they found a woman in her 20s with a grazing wound. She was taken to hospital with non‑life‑threatening injuries and is still being treated.
Police believe the shooting happened after a fight between two men outside the bar. One man fired a gun and the woman was unintentionally hit.
Investigators say there were roughly 100 to 150 people in the area at the time. Police are asking anyone who saw what happened to come forward.
“So far, only three people have chosen to come forward and speak with us,” says CPS Staff Sgt. Mike Sushelnitsky. “Our efforts rely on strong community support, and we know there are other witnesses who are choosing not to come forward.”
