A Lethbridge man is facing several charges following allegations that two young girls were sexually assaulted by a family friend.
Police say the first case began on July 18, when a 12‑year‑old girl told a friend she had been sexually assaulted multiple times by a man.
She later reported three incidents that occurred between June 2024 and May 2026.
During the investigation, police identified a second victim, a 10‑year‑old girl who reported she had been sexually assaulted by the same man in the summer of 2025.
Investigators say the accused was a family friend who regularly spent time with both children.
Nicholas Tilbe, 30, of Lethbridge, has been charged with four counts of sexual interference and one count of sexual assault. Tilbe has been released from custody on several conditions.
Police say he is prohibited from contacting either victim or any child under the age of 16, and from attending public pools, schools, school grounds, daycares, playgrounds, youth shelters, or libraries unless accompanied by an adult family member. He is also barred from any volunteer work or employment that would place him in a position of trust or authority over minors.
