    A man and his dog are injured after a fire in a van in Calgary’s northwest Wednesday morning.

    Calgary Fire says it happened at 1411 Home Road NW just after 9 a.m.

    Firefighters were called out following reports of flames coming from a cube van.

    The department says the man suffered burns to his hands and face, and the dog was taken to the vet for burn injuries.

    No word yet on the severity of the injuries.

    There was also some heat damage to vehicles parked on either side of the burning van.

    Investigators are looking into the cause of the blaze.
