The Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle Campaign in Calgary ends at noon on Thursday, but the charity is still a few hundred thousand dollars shy of its $1.2-million goal.
Capt. Pam Goodyear tells 660News at last count they had raised $740,000.
She says the last couple of years have been a struggle for the kettle campaign, but they have managed to pass the $1-million mark in the past.
A big surprise for the kettle campaign came Tuesday night when someone dropped of a gold coin worth $1,200.
