Merry ‘Stressmas’

From watching the clock while you scramble from the office to the mall to running out of scotch tape on Christmas Eve, the holidays can be anything but relaxing.

In fact they can be a real source of stress.

U of C Psychologist Dr. Keith Dobson says the holidays are rife with stressors, like family issues, overindulgence and sleep disruption and of course the never ending shopping list.

He tells 660News lowering expectations to a reasonable level would be the best stress reducer, but cutting back on unhealthy foods, and easing up on the alcohol will help as well.

He says we should remember to take care of ourselves over the Christmas season.
