Canucks still prove generous

According to a new poll by Investors Group, Canadians plan to open their hearts and wallets and be more generous next year.
Volunteer efforts are expected to see largest increase with 29 per cent saying they plan to donate more of their time.
Financial contributions will also go up, with 19 per cent saying they plan to up the size of their donations in 2010.
On average this year, Canadians contributed 13 hours a month to volunteer work and donated just over $1,000 to non-profit organizations.
