Long-awaited Mackenzie pipeline report due today

A long-due report on proposed natural gas pipeline is due out this afternoon.
A federally appointed panel is set to publish its report on the Mackenzie Gas Project – a 1,200-kilometre, $16.2-billion pipeline that would traverse the Northwest Territories as it carries natural gas from the Beaufort Sea coast to the Alberta boundary.
The report will weigh the effects on Arctic ecosystems and communities.
It comes more than three years after it was first expected to.
