Fallout continues from Tory defections

A couple of high-profile defections from the Tories to the Wildrose Alliance has thrown executives of their constituency associations into a frenzy.

Ten of the 29 members of the Calgary-Fish Creek association have crossed to the Wildrose, and MLA Rob Anderson says he’s confident a large number of his followers will do the same.

But the communications chief of the Airdrie-Chestermere association still thinks they’ll hold most of their members and tells The Calgary Herald the political ambush will not sway true Tories.

A meeting is planned between board members and Anderson on Saturday.  A spokesperson says they want to hear from the member first hand on the reason for his defection.

Neither association has any appetite for a by-election.
