Calgary transit drivers have a hero in their midst, after one of their own stopped to help a teen who had been stabbed Friday night.
Barb Osborne says she was flagged down by a frantic group of about 20 teens, who told her their friend had been stabbed and was bleeding to death.
She immediately called for police and paramedics, then grabbed her first aid kit and jumped into action.
Osborne tells 660News that while they applied pressure to the wound, she kept the victim talking to try to prevent him from slipping into unconsciousness.
“He kept saying ‘it hurts, it hurts’ and I told him to just hang on. The paramedics are on their way.”
When EMS arrived, the teen was taken to hospital in non-life threatening condition.
Osborne says she would love to see him again to see that he’s okay.
