It’s time to register your young ones for kindergarten.
Ted Flitton with the Calgary Board of Education tells 660News they expect about 7,000 students to sign up this year, up slightly from 2008.
Parents can register their child for kindergarten by visiting their local elementary school.
They require documentation that confirms their address, such as a driver’s license or telephone bill, as well as information that supplies proof of the child’s name, date of birth, and citizenship.
Although kindergarten isn’t mandatory children must start school if they are six years old as of September 1st.
