A Calgary based heavy rescue team is getting ready to take off for Haiti if and when the call comes in.
Canada Task Force Two is pulling together their equipment and supplies so they can take off when the government calls them to service.
The team’s main focus is search and rescue but it will also provide tents, water purification and medical treatment.
Canada Task Force Two can be ready to deploy given four hours notice.
The team is based out of a multi-agency training centre in the city’s southeast.
