Alberta’s new finance minister says the spending spree is coming to an end.
Ted Morton is described by some as a budget hawk and will not be afraid to make deep cuts into government spending and also not afraid to go toe to toe with Ottawa over the contentious issue of equalization payments.
Morton along with the rest of Ed Stelmach’s inner circle will be sworn in to the executive council Friday.
