Calgary officer hailed a hero

A Calgary police officer is being hailed a hero after rushing in to a blazing house before firefighters arrived. He raced into the smoke-filled structure and pulled a badly burned elderly woman to safety.
29 year old Constable Leaverd Sandau says he’s happy he was able to possibly save someone’s life, but he’s worried because the elderly woman was so badly injured.
He says he can only hope that she can pull through and eventually recover.
Sandau says he’s not a hero and thinks anybody else in his position would have done exactly what he did.
