The Calgary Flames have called up Swedish forward Mikael Backlund from their farm team in Abbotsford, B.C.
Backlund will be in the lineup tonight when the Flames tangle with the Stars in Dallas.
The Flames have lost their last seven games and have only managed to score nine goals in that span.
Even the Edmonton Oilers have scored more goals than the Flames this season and they haven’t won yet this year!
The Fan960’s Mike Richards, describes the team’s current losing skid as a “mystery.”
Richards likens it to playing golf , where one day you think you’re good enough to be on the tour, the next day you don’t know which end of the club to swing.
Calgary Sun sports columnist and JackFM co-host Eric Francis doubts a trade is in the works.
He says because of no-trade clauses and salary caps, pulling the trigger on a trade is easier said than done.
