New technology allows 911 to trace cellphone callers

Cellphone users who have to call 911 will now be easier to trace.

The City of Calgary has launched new technology that will be able to triangulate those calls to within a few metres of where the call was placed.

Before this system was brought in, mobile calls could only be traced to the nearest cell tower which could be a few kilometres away from where the call was actually placed.
