Calgary celebrates Hockey Day in Canada

Across the country, sports fans are pulling on their skates and celebrating Hockey Day in Canada.
In Calgary, the community of Auburn Bay is hosting their annual three-on-three hockey tournament.
Hockey enthusiasts of all ages showed up at the outdoor rink in the southeast community Saturday, to celebrate Canada’s favourite sport.
Kelly Hrudey from CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada tells 660News, events like this are what the game is all about.
“This is how I remember growing up, and I spent all of my winter moments outdoors as much as possible.”
Hockey Day in Canada continues Saturday night, as the Calgary Flames take on the Edmonton Oilers at the Pengrowth Saddledome, at 8 p.m. MST.
