Shooting in Marda Loop

City police say a man is in serious but stable condition after being shot three or four times in the upper body, in what they believe was a drug deal, gone bad.

The incident happened about 12:45 Saturday morning, in southwest Marda Loop.

Duty Inspector Rob Williams says the victim was quickly transported to hospital.

Police believe the shooting took place about eight blocks from where they found the victim.

At this point police have no suspects and no vehicle description, but they don’t believe it is gang-related.
