Jarome Iginla scored 3 goals, pacing Canada’s 8-0 win over Norway in men’s Olympic hockey action Tuesday.
Calgary native Dany Heatley also scored, turning on the red light twice.
The game was scoreless after first period, but once Iginla was paired up with Sidney Crosby in the second, Canada found it’s groove.
“Sid the Kid” assisted on each of Iginla’s markers.
Canada’s next test is Thursday against Switzerland. The Swiss lost to the U.S. 3-1 Tuesday afternoon.
The vast majority of hockey fans at Hockey Canada Place loved the contest.
Many of the 19-thousand in the stands say Olympic hockey is more exciting than the NHL because international pride is on the line.
