Albertans feel pretty good about their financial situation.
In their new consumer confidence outlook, the Royal Bank reports six in 10 Albertans believe their personal financial situation will improve over the next year.
But RBC’s Tasha Giroux tells 660News, the numbers are also high in our province when it comes to how people view the possibility of losing their job over the next year.
“I think as much as we saw a positive up-tick in our index, job growth numbers have been improving, which is improving unemployment rates but the reality is we have 280,000 fewer Canadians employed currently as compared to October 2008,” says Giroux.
Three in 10 Albertans say are worried about a job loss within their household.
