The Calgary Fire Department is wrapping up its investigation of a fire in the southwest community of Canyon Meadows.
The fire broke out shortly after 2:30pm on Tuesday.
No one was injured in the blaze on the 100 block of Cantervill Road, although two pet dogs are missing from the home.
CFD spokesman Jeff Budai says it’s not known yet what caused the blaze.
Despite the violent nature of the blaze, firefighters contained the damage to the one home while protecting the adjacent exposures. The CFD says it the fire could have easily have engulfed the two neighbouring homes.
Due to the extensive damage the house sustained, the residents were forced to find other accommodations.
