‘Cautious optimism’ in Alberta business

The latest business confidence survey shows economic optimism is on the rise across the country.

However, Richard Truscott with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business tells 660News, things are not as rosy in Alberta.

Truscott sums up the mood here as ‘cautious optimism,’ saying maybe that’s because we’ve been through so many boom/bust cycles over the years.

As for industries that are expressing concern about the future, Truscott says oil and gas service companies, along with hospitality and retail operators, are still waiting for clear signs that things are improving.
