Video surveillance at the murder trial of Christopher Watcheston shows him following Arcelie Laoagan just moments before her death.
The trial is in its second week and Watcheston is facing a charge of first degree murder.
Laoagan’s body was found badly beaten in January 2008, not far from the Franklin LRT station.
The five videos show the accused getting on and off C-trains at a number of stations along the downtown route.
One video shows the victim getting on the LRT at the 8th street platform. Watcheston is then seen following Laoagan through the Franklin LRT station with his hood up and covering his face. He stays about four feet behind her, as they went up the escalator and out the main doors.
