Here’s another name you can scratch of the “who will run for mayor” list; George Brookman.
The principal shareholder and C.E.O. of West Canadian Industries Group tells 660news that job is for someone younger and more energetic, but he is honoured that so many people think he is the right man for the job.
“I have this terrible feeling that I’d wake up about two weeks after I got into the chair and think what the heck did I do this for. there is so much life to live out there I just don’t think I want to be the mayor right now.” said Brookman.
He says Calgary will continue to grow so our city needs someone with vision in the drivers seat.
